2-7-2013 Kings @ Nashville: Shutout, Not Shootout

In a dreadful game by the Kings, Quick was the best player on the team. His save percentage was .786. Stopping multiple quality chances off giveaways by our defense in the first period, Quick was victimized on the second chance off a giveaway by a slap shot from 25 feet.  The Kings left Gabriel Borque all alone for a one-timer from the high slot and Borque found the top corner blocker side on Quick, who had no chance to stop it.

Just over a minute later, and a fumbled puck at center ice by Martinez at center, on a standard no-frills breakout by the Predators, and suddenly the Predators had a 2 on 1, then the pass got thru and Quick made an excellent stop on Borque, who was again in alone for another quality chance. More after the X Ray.

Trailing 3 to 0, the Kings came out in the third period ready to display their recent style of offense, and they did, with a total of 4 shots for the entire period. 20 minutes, 4 shots.
